International Music Video Competition
- Judges
The iVMA is supported by a panel of individuals that play important and influential roles within the music video profession. From this panel, ten individuals are selected yearly to judge the competition.
All entries that are submitted to the iVMA are prescreened for official selection into the competition. This screening is used to assess the validity of entries against the requirements that are put forth on the web site regarding the competition.
The iVMA competition includes categories for professional contestants as well as categories for student/ armature contestants. These entries are then rated on a scale of one to ten (one being the lowest and ten being the best) by the panel of judges. The vales that are assigned to each video are then tallied for each entry in each category for both armatures and professionals and it is from this that a winner is selected.
All contestants (professionals and armatures alike) become contestants in the ìInternational Music Video of the Year's competition. This award is the highest honor that is announced during the iVMA gala celebration. With this accolade comes an iVMA trophy as well as a place in the New Discovery Award's part of the competition that has a cash prize of $2000.
